Kayvan Vahid will join AllianzGI as Head of Equity Europe Core & Value
Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI), a leading global active asset manager, announced today the appointment of Kayvan Vahid as Head of Equity Europe Core & Value.
Kayvan will be based in London, and report to Jörg De Vries-Hippen, Head of Investments Equity Europe. Kayvan will lead AllianzGI’s efforts to strengthen and expand its capabilities in the fundamentally-managed European Core and Value space, a key segment for its clients. Kayvan’s expertise will complement AllianzGI’s experience in the Value space and help establish Core & Value as an additional pillar of the AllianzGI Equity platform.

Kayvan’s hire is the latest step in the strengthening of AllianzGI’s Equities team in London, which this year has seen the hire of Giles Money as CIO, Global Sustainability/SRI Equity team, the promotion of Rajnish Kumar to the newly created role of Head of Investment Technology and AI, Investment Platform, and the establishment of a team of US equity analysts.
Kayvan Vahid spent over 20 years at UBS Asset Management (UBS) and most recently was Deputy Head of Global Value Equity and Head of European Mid Cap Equities at UBS Asset Management (UBS AM) in London. In his role he was responsible for managing a range of institutional and retail funds across global, European and UK equity mandates. Prior to those positions, he was portfolio manager for European Small and Mid-Caps and European Equities Research Analyst at UBS AM. Kayvan is 46 years old. Kayvan holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics & Econometrics from the University of Nottingham. He is also a CFA charter holder.
