Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI) is now offering a second, long-standing successful strategy from Voya Investment Management (Voya IM), the Allianz US Large Cap Value fund.
The Fund will be in a UCITS wrapper and available for clients in Europe and Asia. Based on Voya IM’s unique value approach, the Allianz US Large Cap Value fund invests in large-cap US equities that the portfolio management team believe are attractively valued.
Unlike many other value strategies, the stock-selection process of the Allianz US Large Cap Value fund is based on a unique combination of company valuation ratios. The “Excess Capital Yield” (ECY) metrics, which is at the centre, takes into account liquid financial resources, free cash flow, dividend payments and remaining opportunities for balance sheet optimisation. In the view of the portfolio-management team, ECY provides information on the financial resources that can be productively used by the company and enables the identification of promising stocks in a sector comparison. The stock-selection process is complemented by other qualitative and quantitative valuation factors as well as sophisticated risk management.
